What’s Happening in Downtown Mountain View?

German Holiday Market * December 9
11am – 9pm * City Hall Plaza * 500 Castro St.

The German Holiday Market recreates the look and feel of a traditional, open-air Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market) in a German village, where visitors can:
• Warm up with a mug of Glühwein (mulled wine) or Kinderpunsch (hot cider) or quench their thirst with a German beer while hanging out with family and friends.
• Feast on Würste (sausages), Brezelknoten ( pretzel knots), Stollen (fruit cake), Lebkuchen (gingerbread) and Gebrannte Mandeln (toasted candied almonds).
• Discover unique gifts from both Germany and Bay Area artisans and merchants, including an array of handcrafted ornaments and pyramids from Germany, jewelry, clothing, toys and soaps.
• Delight in the petting zoo, ferris wheel, train, face painting, games and arts and crafts activities.

The German Holiday Market is free and open the public. All proceeds from the event benefit the Mountain View nonprofit German International School of Silicon Valley.
